Job Description
Join our team at OROVILLE YMCA PORPOISE CLUB as a Swim Instructor and lead engaging swimming programs for children of all ages and skill levels. If you are a student with a love for swimming and the ability to motivate young swimmers, we want you to inspire our Oroville, CA community!
Responsibilities
• Provide swim instruction tailored to different age groups and skill levels
• Create a safe and encouraging learning environment for all students
• Assess student progress and offer feedback and guidance as needed
Requirements
• Experience working with diverse age groups and abilities, preferably in education or instruction
• Proficient in various swim strokes and techniques
• Knowledgeable in water safety and survival skills
• CPR & First Aid Certified (infant, child & adult)
• Strong communication, organizational, and time management abilities
• Skilled in behavior management and handling challenging situations calmly
• Experience in childcare or sports coaching is a plus
• Passion for swimming and working with children
